Since there was no chattin' about Adaptation due to the outage, I figured what the hell, got nothing better to do, I'll check it out.

Shock of shocks: it was actually pretty good.

It helped that his riding partner was JDM. The banter was terrific (they're miked while riding). These two are like Heckle and Jeckle.

    Fantastic English countryside scenery.

Didn't know that Jethro Tull founder Ian Anderson was Andrew Lincoln's father-in-law. His mansion was drool-worthy.

Cool side-gig for Reedus, good for him. Steven Yeun is next week's guest. Should be fun.

Give it a shot; you may be surprised. I was.

I guess Ride is AMC's apology to Norman for the way Gimple has written Daryl these last 3 seasons of TWD.

"Written"? How can something be written when the man got no dialogue?

"Here's your script for this episode, Mr. Reedus."

    "This is a napkin."

Okay, I can give Daryl Dixon praise when praise is due

    BUT

I draw the line at voluntarily watching a show that features Norman Reedus as Norman Reedus. His schtick just irks me

I find him fake and nauseating. Just the shy boy act alone gives me reason for a deep eye roll

Thing is for awhile I was a fan but then it just became this rinse and repeat thing IMO. As though even off screen he is playing a part....badly.

And it does not take much to make me turn a corner LOL

I love Tom Payne but I swear to goodness it is now time for him to shut the F up about his frustration with his character.

    LOL, sort of.

I think he sees the error of his ways and is trying to do damage control by saying that what he said was not really what he wanted to convey. That he was frustrated with himself for becoming so invested in the character and doing a ton of behind the scenes work for the character. I am skeptical by nature so I ain't buying it LOL

I would imagine that in the business of television and movies the last thing you want is to develop a reputation of someone who complains about their previous work experiences. There is a good chance that one day you will want a job and come to find out those executives you were bad mouthing, those writers you were throwing under the bus...they are the ones you will need to impress.

Which is why you see the same actors having roles in other projects said writers/ producers/ execs work on.

Hell even Michael (what's his last name) the guy that played Abraham directing a WD episode and even played a role in TWD video game app with Eugene lol

I think it depends a lot on who his guest rider us, and the chemistry. I'm looking forward to Melissa's appearance (Scotland).

It ain't The Sopranos, to be sure, but it's a neat time-killer.
