A few quick tips on how to search the forums:

    * Wildcards are your friend.
The minimum length of any search is 4 characters, so if you want to search for SMG, EMP, DUI or any other three letter acronym you will get no results.....Unless you put a wildcard at the end.

Instead of searching for SMG try searching for SMG*

This will search for any word that starts with SMG, resulting in a list of any posts refering to SMGs.

The down side of this is that if you search for EMP* you will also get results fro EMPloyer, EMPire, EMPirical etc

    Full Boolean Logic.
This forum uses a full boolean logic search, which means you can use the terms AND, OR and NOT to refine your search.

For instance, if you search the titles of threads for "Hardline" you get 8 results, all have Hardline in the title.

if you search for Hardline AND Scavenger you get 2 results, both have Hardline and Scavenger in the title.

If you search for Hardline OR Scavenger you get 14 results, all have either Hardline or Scavenger in the title.

If you search for Hardline NOT Scavenger you get 6 results, all having Hardline but not Scavenger in the title.

    Advanced Search.
When you click on the Search button at the top there is a little link to the Advance Search page. This takes you to a new page with many more options.

For instance, you can specify that you want to search only the title of the threads rather than the all the posts. This reduces a search on "sniper" from over 500 results to 36.

You can specify the minimum or maxium number of responses a thread can have to be included in the results, so if you want to know what everyone thinks of a particular gun then say it has to have at least 20 replies.

Or if you only want up to date information you can specify how old you want the results to be, so if you know a gun was nerfed a month ago and you want to know what it is like now, then just do a search that only includes posts less than a month old

    "And I Quote".

You can use quotation marks "" to specify a phrase rather than keywords.

A search for "Prestige Master" will only bring up posts or threads where the phrase Prestige Master appears.

Searching for Prestige Master (without the quotes) will bring up all threads contining the words Prestige and Master in any order, so things like How do I master the MP7 so I can Prestige?

I wouldn't go that far, but hopefully some may find it useful.
