Nope. The only way he would have made it out is if he was softer than Negan and was going against him because he felt they should make a deal and work with the other communities. Since his position is to kill everybody, he won't make it.

It seems so unlikely to have a post-war world where Simon still exists lol. Unless they built 2 cells He's just so interesting, I don't want him to die!

 

Me too! Plus it fascinates me watching him chew imaginary gum.

 

The only way I see him surviving is by lying through his teeth when confronted by Negan, this I totally can see him doing, whether Negan buys it... And whether all the henchmen will remain quiet, especially with Negan and Jadis presently riding in the same car... It's an awful tight spot he's in, this Simon, however if I were Dwight I would be super careful around this coiled snake.

 

I see Negan taking him out, showing everybody he wasn't "all that bad".

 

I think the way Negan convinces Jadis not to kill him is to give her Simon, the real culprit. Jadis introduces Simon to the shredder. Too bad because I like Simon - he's a great bad guy.

 

I’m actually kind of bummed that Simon isn’t all Team Negan... as bad as they are I kind of liked the Negan-Simon “wingman” dynamic... I kind of wish he was ride or die as a main man on the Saviors end... I’m glad Dwight finally did his thing and broke free... but I actually grew to love the bond I thought Negan/Simon had... now I don’t think Negan will hesitate to kill him if he feels it’s the right time

Simon is a goner. It would be sweet if Jadis did the day of reckoning, though. I like the quirkiness of Simon and he adds a little laughter to the show, so I hate to see him go. Abe did too, and I'm still bitter about that.

 

Sort of like with Claimer Joe.
Great Character acting and charismatic bad guy all the way around.
Now if they can find a way to top the way Joe went out.......

 

Yes! I also loved Timmy from the Dick Brigade as Negan put it. He was so shortlived.
