Simple reason Daryl is not dead...

    Daryl is on a mission of revenge. The guy he saved has come back to first kill Denise, then take his friends captive, and then potentially shoot him.

    In the law of TV shows, they can't just have Daryl die now (unless he first, at least, gets revenge and gives the guy what he deserves). Daryl has unfinished business and therefore he is safe.


    My prediction, anyway, is still that its none of the captured people who die. I think, once again, the crew made a mistake and left village somewhat undefended and undermanned. As thus I think Negan's crew is gonna get in and capture some people there (Maggie maybe?). What better way to prove you are 'worse than the governor' that to bash the head of a pregnant woman. Plus, I really don't think the TV show wants to have to deal with yet another baby (so either maggie's baby is toast or Rick's daughter is).

    Or, you know, Dwight purposefully aimed at Daryl's shoulder and plans to keep him alive.

    Well yes, I think we all know he didn't get killed in the cliff hanger. If a main character is killed its gonna be more dramatic than 'cut to black'. I meant in regards to the theories that he'll get his head bashed in by the bat. Unless he gets his revenge in the next episode and then gets captured again...unlikely

    Didn't Dwight SAY, "he'll live", or something like that? IOW, he wasn't trying to kill him.

    It's not about Daryl, it's about Negan. Negan would like to find out how the guy is that killed a bunch of his men, so that he could be captured and Negan could kill him himself. Dwight would have been under orders not to kill Daryl just yet.

    I just wanted to say that I really like this idea. I hadn't considered it. Now wouldn't this be a complete turn of events if all the people who were captured were "safe" while Negan attacks ASZ.

    I refuse to believe that he will die.....absolutely refuse. And no one needs to "turn" Neuro into a hornball....for him, its natural LOL.

    I agree that Daryl is not dead, but don't be too sure on that "Cut to Black" theory.. One of the greatest tv shows ever "The Sopranos" ended the show on a Cut to Black.
