    No wonder Rosita was such a mess when they found her! Whispering walkers would freak out even the toughest veteran!

    Maybe I have the benefit of knowing these are fake walkers. But I think it is the plot that demands Rosita and Eugene to be so afraid. I wonder, if Daryl/Jesus/Negan would be as afraid as them. The next episode will hopefully tell us why Eugene is so afraid. I mean, simply having the ability to talk/whisper is not scary as this itself is not a big threat. Maybe, talking like ''we will not let them get away'', indicating an ability to think, to communicate and to coordinate an attack, is much more scary.

    But, if they become fast moving zombies, I think this is much much more scary.

    BTW, would a comics reader please tell me what is the next enemy group/villian after this Whisperer arc? (putting the answer within a spoiler tag). Thank you.

    I think it’s more that Eugene was not only hearing them. He was being stalked by them.

    After the whisperers, they hooked up with Commonwealth. Not really a villain...... yet.
