I hope the episode is better than these sneak peaks indicate. The Governor's speech to the camp is so lackluster, I don't see how it would convince anyone to fight for him - in fact, his speech is a giant red flag that should make anyone suspicious. The plot in the comic is solid, but the execution of it on this show is troubling. There is just something "missing."

The fact that Mitch and Pete BOTH didn't survive or die is what you call ''troubling'' or others ''bad writing''

I'm disappointed that Michonne has allowed herself to be captured and put in this position, she is supposed to be the warrior of the group. I have mixed feelings about it.

She likely had guns drawn on her. What's she supposed to do, get Indiana Jones'd. Pull out her sword and get shot?

The look she gave at the end of the clip made me think that she has an idea up her sleeve. My guess is that Hershel is going to get killed and that she will make her move. I think Rick will draw his gun after Hershel is killed and that will also buy Michonne some time to escape.

 

She has been in worse situations in the comic book

 

tough choice, the best that Rick could do would be to keep him talking and expose his past to the members of the Govs new group. Try and turn them against him

Seriously, if Rick doesn't tell the group what the Governor did to his own people last time I riot. Yeah, all by myself. You can help if you want...you know, throw some stuff through shop windows, taunt the police, that kind of thing.

 

The wordings may be different but this speech is just a replicate of the speech that the Governor gave to the Woodbury people to rally them up to assault the prison at end of Season 3.

 

I was thinking the same thing. The look on her face is like WTH??

 

Holy balls, at that NZ promo. Anyone else think maybe there are two separate times that the Gov and company arrive at the prison? The way he says "come down here, let's have that talk"

 

How would Rick know about that?

 

Karen told him, Daryl, Sasha, Michonne and Tyreese the Gov killed all the Woodbury people in ep16.

I don't think Rick will mention that, or that he locked Andrea away to die though. Probably really worried over Herschel and trying to not aggravate the Gov.

Alisa is scowling at Herschel and co, looks like she believes the Gov these are bad people. Tara seems like she doesn't buy it.
