    So, "every day I lock the house and turn on the security system -- except for the day someone broke in to my house and cleaned it?" Sounds fishy to me, too.

    Antisemitism is on the rise in Germany again. They won't say who is causing the incidents though, and it could be either German right wingers or Muslims. It's shocking they recommended Jews not wear yamulkes in public though... truly shocking. Hmm.. they did NOT say that Muslims should stop wearing hajibs, burkhas, etc., so maybe one could put 2 and 2 together on this one - or not. We'll have to see what develops.

    A top official in Germany warned the country's Jewish community on Saturday to avoid wearing the traditional skullcap in public places in certain areas amid a rise in hate crimes.

    Commissioner Felix Klein was speaking on the rise in anti-Semitic attacks across the country, and told the Funke media group that his opinion on wearing the skullcap -- also called a yarmulke or kippah -- has "unfortunately changed compared with what it used to be."

    "I cannot recommend to Jews that they wear the skullcap at all times everywhere in Germany," Klein said in an interview without elaborating on what places and times might be risky.

    This is not far from where one of my nieces live. The whole stretch of highway is shut down because of the possibility of more landslides.

    That's so horrible, I pretend I'm reading a story in The Onion.

    When interrogated by authorities, Yanukovych apparently showed some remorse about killing the delivery men and postmen who were “just doing their job” but said the Jehovah witnesses “really annoyed him” and wished he had “taken more out.”

    Tom Duvall, a local Jehovah witness organization spokesman, said that he is relieved that “members of our local chapter can now feel safe” and that “these courageous souls have not ended in this vile man’s belly, but in God’s belly.”

    See? Way better if you pretend this is in The Onion.
