If you are going to imitate someone, it’s probably not a good idea if he is already in the room. Why not imitate Clooney or Pitt? She probably would have at least considered the relations

Dunno o_O. The only thing I'm certain of is that I feel sorry for Derrick.

Well, I believe the governor did have his state national guard clustered around the town's government buildings, his point was he didn't want help from Trump.

People on the left are already bringing their own guns, and people on the right know this.

Moving on a bit, they convicted the three men in Georgia that murdered Aubrey. I hope we can all agree that *that* was the correct decision.

Yeah, that’s one thing we can all no doubt agree on. Those men got exactly what they deserved.

What to make of some of Rittenhouse’s recent comments. He tells Tucker Carlson that he supports BLM and now this:

    https://www.huffpost.com/entry/lin-...ike-flynn-division_n_61a1b343e4b0ae9a42ae7e32

Rittenhouse said in an interview on the cable channel NewsNation on Tuesday that he and his mother fired Wood last December because “he was going on with all this QAnon and election fraud stuff, and just stuff we don’t agree with.”

He added: “He’s insane. ... He thinks he’s God and he just says all these weird things.”

Rittenhouse has also accused Wood of mishandling money the attorney raised to bail him out.

Rittenhouse told Tucker Carlson on Fox News that Wood raised $2 million for bail, but then advised the teen to stay in jail where he would be “safer” for a total of 87 days. Wood also “put me on media interviews, which I should never have done,” Rittenhouse complained to Carlson.

He added: “I was being used for a cause.”

Hmmmm….just what I said not too long ago. I find it interesting that Kyle should have come to the same conclusion.

Rittenhouse wants the money. Woods also wants the money. But it should go to the organization that raised the money, so they can return it to the donors.

It kind of made sense to leave him in. It allowed him to paint Ritt as a victim and keep him off social media where he could hurt his own case. I watched tid bits of Tucker. Ritt indicated he doesn’t trust the FBI to protect him. Seemingly suggesting they may be biased against conservatives. Do he isn’t full Q but does believe the government may lean away from the right.

So the student government at Duke wanted to exclude a pro-Israel student group. The university overturned their decision. I really don't get what the left has against Israel. The Jews have been supporters of civil rights in this country since the beginning.

    "
The Duke University administration will provide support to a pro-Israel student organization originally denied official recognition by the student government.

In a statement released by Duke University President Vincent E. Price and Provost Sally Kornbluth Nov. 24, the two said the university has found ways for the group to receive financial and program support without formal recognition by the student government.

"The university has identified options for SSI to secure financial and programmatic support," the statement says, referring to Students Supporting Israel.

The statement also made clear that the decision to deny the SSI chapter formal recognition is "independent of" the university."

The real proof of inflation. The cost of the 12 days of Christmas has jumped.

Prices for six geese-a-laying, two turtle doves and three French hens are up 57.1 percent, 50 percent and 40.5 percent, respectively, in 2021 versus pre-pandemic levels, for example, according to PNC’s analysis.

And you thought the chicken shortage was bad.

What does the left have to do with this? A new group petitioned for recognition and funds and the student president vetoed the approval. It looks like it came down to one person. She should have stuck to trying to get taco Tuesdays in the cafeteria.

When I see pro-"palestinian" groups being rejected on campuses I'll agree it was a random thing. When I see a BDS (boycott, divest, sanction) group aimed at "palestine" or other arab/muslim countries and not just Israel, I'll agree. Until then, it seems reasonable to assume this is an example of anti-Israel bias.

Probably the same thing the right has against the Jewish
People. Let’s not forget comments from people like Margery Taylor Greene and the space lasers supposedly starting California wild fires.

    https://www.vox.com/22256258/marjor...space-laser-anti-semitism-conspiracy-theories

Let’s get this out of the way: First-term Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s claim that the 2018 California wildfires were ignited by a space laser controlled by a corporate cabal, including the Rothschild banking firm, is objectively ridiculous.

It’s okay to laugh about it. And yet it is, at the same time, kind of horrifying. It’s the latest in a long line of conspiracies about the Rothschild family, and those conspiracies are always, at root, anti-Semitic: Since the 19th century, people have used claims that this one particular wealthy family controls the world to cast aspersions on Jews in general.

Nor is this an isolated anti-Semitic incident for Greene. In December 2018, she shared a video on her Facebook page, which features a prominent British anti-Semite explaining that “Zionist supremacists have schemed to promote immigration and miscegenation.” This is a conspiracy theory that seemingly motivated the Pittsburgh synagogue shooter’s rampage in October 2018, less than two months before Greene’s post. Despite concrete evidence that these ideas were endangering American Jews, Greene chose to spread them anyway.

So you tell me. People have been scapegoating the Jews from way back. MTG and her ilk are hardly on the “left”.

In this particular incident, reading the articles, apparently the student council president cited this reason:

Duke Student Government’s President Christina Wang made the decision because Students Supporting Israel “singled out an individual student on their organization’s social media account in a way that was unacceptable for any student group,” according to an email reviewed by The Chronicle

Reading further in an article from the College Fix:

The offending comments occurred after a student named Elyana Riddick posted a photo on Twitter that said “My school promotes settler colonialism” along with a link to a story about SSI’s approval.

“To Yana and others like her, please allow us to educate you on what ‘settler colonialism’ actually is and why Israel does not fall under this category whatsoever,” the pro-Israel group wrote on its Instagram, according to The Chronicle. “These types of narratives are what we strive to combat and condemn, which is why Duke’s chapter of Students Supporting Israel has been officially established & is here to stay.”

Students Supporting Israel apologized for using Riddick’s name in the post but later posted a letter defending itself against criticism.

“SSI even commented my name under the post, calling me out and condemning me for speaking my mind,” Riddick said. “This was completely unnecessary, unprofessional and undeniably targeted harassment.”

“Who really benefits from clubs on campus that aim to combat and condemn opposing ideas on campus through student intimidation and harassment?” Riddick said in opposition to SSI’s actions.

Riddick has a history of making comments critical of student organizations.

    https://www.thecollegefix.com/pro-israel-student-group-vetoed-by-duke-student-government-president/

IMO the student involved was a little touchy considering she posted the original comment that created the backlash. Since it was reported that she is in the habit of criticizing student groups, I think she was jonesing for the attention and the SSI took the bait, unfortunately, but I believe they had the right to rebut her position. Who knows if Riddick is right or left politically and that goes for Wang.

Why is this such a scandal anyways when it reflects our political discord on the Federal level and elsewhere everyday? Kids pay attention and imitate the adults even at the college level. However, like everything else, this too will pass.

 If Greene is the only "Republican* you can find to say something exists on the right, it doesn't exist. In contrast, I can point out similar anti-Israel comments by Omar and Tlaib and they aren't widely regarded as crazy like Greene is. No, I think the left owns anti-semitism at this point in time.

Ah, nothing like a good ol' funeral brawl. Seriously though, can't you wait to settle your differences until AFTER people pay their respects to the dead? And ripping the cross of a grave and hitting someone with it? Yeah... I don't think Jesus looks too kindly on that, regardless of how angry you are about what happened 20 years ago.

    "
Eight people reportedly have been arrested in Ireland following a violent cemetery brawl that erupted between two families who had been attending separate funerals.

The incident at Tuam cemetery in Galway in late September – which left five men and two women with non-life threatening injuries – involved one of the victims being struck by a wooden cross that had been ripped off a grave, the Irish Times reports.

Other people involved in the brawl suffered apparent stab wounds, the newspaper adds.

More than two dozen Irish police officers responded to the scene and one male suspect was taken into custody as he attempted to flee while in possession of a knife, according to the Irish Times.

I don't even know... Anyway, a woman was breastfeeding her *cat* on a Delta flight, and was asked to stop, which she refused to do. The crew didn't feel they could or should stop her, and who is to say what would have happened if they did? I'm glad I wasn't sitting next to her is all I can say.

"Recently, a passenger traveling to Atlanta on a Delta flight was reportedly breastfeeding her cat mid-flight. While many people consider their pets as their children, this woman might have taken that to a literal meaning.

However, in spite of the crew's requests, the woman allegedly continued doing so.

After the resistance from the woman, a message was sent through the Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System (ACARS) hoping to contact the “Red Coat” team, so that they could take some action against the woman after landing.
    ...
When asked to stop, the woman defended herself by saying, “Although, I think [the passengers] are enjoying this, because like I said, I’m not terrible to look at."

Delta has clear policies regarding pets and breastfeeding.
According to Delta’s policy, "Delta fully supports a woman's right to breastfeed on board Delta and Delta Connection aircraft and in Delta facilities. Breast pumps are allowed on board".

Breastfeeding is allowed on-flight however, that means human babies. Whether that policy includes animals is still unsure, probably because no one would have thought that people do that.

Pets are also allowed in-flight but they are to remain in a carrier bag under the seat for the duration of the entire flight so as not to disturb other passengers.

Back to the "leftist are the antisemites" bit. Here's a group of leftists who are kicking a congressman out of their group for making a trip to Israel! Like I said, the lefties are the country's antisemites at this point in time.

    "
The Democratic Socialists of America's BDS & Palestine Solidarity Working Group has called for the immediate expulsion of Rep. Jamaal Bowman after the New York congressman did not apologize for participating in a diplomatic trip to Israel, which the group characterized as "Zionist propaganda."

Bowman, a far-left legislator who supports defunding the police, is one of several congressional Democrats who are DSA members.

The BDS & Palestine Solidarity Working Group stated in a Monday letter that anti-Zionism and support for "BDS" policies — boycotting, divesting and sanctioning the Israeli government and Israeli businesses — were non-negotiable stances for membership in the party. The Working Group’s call for expulsion comes after Bowman allegedly failed to conform to the party platform after a previous email warned Bowman of the group’s discontent.

"[W]e explicitly told Bowman that just like the propaganda trips sponsored by Zionist groups, Zionist propaganda events are carefully constructed to validate Zionism by advancing certain narratives that normalize Israeli apartheid and the ongoing ethnic cleansing of Palestinians from historic Palestine," the Monday letter stated.

A sad situation. A custody dispute turns in to a dead father. On the one hand, there really was no reason for the boyfriend to grab a gun from the house, on the other, there was no reason for the father to keep charging the man with the gun even after he fired a shot in the ground at his feet. I don't know whether this will be judged as self-defense or not, but it's for sure a child has lost their father. The other thing that's strange is that the father's new wife is just sitting in the car calmly arguing with the boyfriend after her husband got shot. She doesn't get out to try and save her husband's life after he's been shot or even go over to him? I would have understood completely if she lost it and ran over to him screaming, but just sitting there and talking to his killer? Not exactly her shining moment as his wife.

Greene is a prominent example that came to mind readily. Granted, she acts more like the mayor of Crazy Town than a US Congress person but her party rarely censures her for her outbursts. I have noticed some Republican push back from a few but she attacks them too. I get the feeling that with her ties to alt right groups she’s more than likely an anti-Semite herself or the biggest con artist ever.

I have no problem with Israel defending itself. They have to. There will be those who feel that they are overly aggressive towards their Palestinian neighbors…even within Israel itself.
I try to keep a neutral position because I don’t have enough of an understanding of all the dynamics involved to offer an informed opinion.
