NEWS! Another rotten fish is removed from the barrel.

    "
CNN announced that it is suspending its star anchor Chris Cuomo as the network evaluates his conduct following stunning revelations from the New York Attorney General's investigation into his brother, ousted Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

"The New York Attorney General's office released transcripts and exhibits Monday that shed new light on Chris Cuomo's involvement in his brother's defense," CNN began its statement Tuesday evening. "The documents, which we were not privy to before their public release, raise serious questions. When Chris admitted to us he had offered advice to his brother's staff, he broke our rules and we acknowledged that publicly. But we also appreciated the unique position he was in and understood his need to put family first and job second."

"However," CNN continued, "these documents point to a greater level of involvement in his brother's efforts than we previously knew. As a result, we have suspended Chris indefinitely, pending further evaluation."

Transcripts from his interview with investigators show the CNN star admitting he would reach out to media sources to find out about new accusers who have yet to come forward publicly.

"When asked, I would reach out to sources, other journalists, to see if they had heard of anybody else coming out," Cuomo told investigators. "

Another robbery. A woman in a nice neighborhood with a gated house comes home from taking her baby for a walk and when she opens the gate to go home two men get out of their car and rob her of her personal belongings - which she gives them freely as she doesn't want them to hurt her baby. The link below has the video.

The article seems to minimize the incident in that she didn't have a lot stolen from her, and it's good she and her baby were unharmed. I wonder, though, how long it'll be before she feels safe enough to take her baby for a walk again on her own street. Will she even feel safe ever again in her own house even after changing her locks, etc.?

And even if the police catch the criminals, which I doubt will happen in the first place, what good would it do? There was no violence involved, and the effect on her life doesn't matter to the law, so these men would be out of jail that day likely without having to post any bail, and likely will never see any real punishment for their actions. How long can society continue like this?

Chicago is #1 !! ... in homicides. Way to go, Cook County, you've broken 1000 homicides for the year and December hasn't even started yet. The victims are mostly black, and there's a black mayor and black police chief. Why we haven't heard anything from "black lives matter" about this? Where are the riots on the victims' behalf?

    "
The number of homicides in the Chicago area so far this year surpassed 1,000 during the holiday weekend after Thanksgiving – as Cook County achieved the grim milestone again for the first time in 27 years.

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed Tuesday the 1,000th homicide in 2021 happened over the holiday weekend. With just over a month left in the year, the number of homicides in Cook County stands at 1,009. The last time Cook County saw more than 1,000 homicides was in 1994 when it recorded 1,141 homicides total by the end of December. In 1991, Cook County handled a record 1,229 homicides. "

I can understand why the Repubs don't want to get involved with Greene, it's the same reason the Dems don't. How does the saying go? If you wrestle with a pig you both get muddy but the pig likes it. If someone argues with a total nut it gives them credibility in a way and in the case of a crazy congresswoman gives them national attention. Why do that?

If I was in Congress, I'd see Greene as an embarrassment and if she was ranting about something I'd likely just pretend she wasn't in the room and move on.

O.k. hold the phone! I just read this:

"In Greene's past social media activity, she advocated for violence against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and former President Barack Obama, said that an airplane never hit the Pentagon during the September 11 terrorist attacks, accused former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton of slicing off a child's face and wearing it"

Now that last one has GOT to be true! Sorry, Greene for the many times I have said you were some kind of a raving lunatic. Keep preaching the Truth, Sister! Oh, and BTW, don't let your children go out for pizza without an armed escort, now that the heat's died down Hillary's probably back in business with a vengeance.

Here's some irony for you. The Amazon rain forest is home to tons of rare species of animals that should be protected. It's now being drilled for oil by... the Chinese, who obviously couldn't care less about the environment. The really ironic part of this though is that two-thirds of all the oil produced there is going to... California! Yep, the eco paradise is chopping down the rain forest to power its cars. Crazy world.

A (non-tenured) professor at Fordham University was fired for calling one of his two black students by the other's name when he was late to class. The professor apologized to the class, but obviously that wasn't good enough.

    "
A professor of English at Fordham University was fired for confusing the names of two black students after one arrived to his class late.

The incident occurred on Sept. 24, the Fordham Observer reported, and Trogan says it was because of a moment of confusion that he accidentally mixed up the names of two black students when one of them arrived late to class.

But the students, the Observer reported, believed that he misnamed them because of their race and raised the issue with Trogan, who promptly sent an email to the entire class apologizing for the mix-up.

But two days later, on Sept. 26, Trojan, who did not have tenure at the university, was placed on administrative leave over the incident. And a month later, on Oct. 25, he was fired."

Here's something odd. In an interesting role-reversal a single mother hired an adult male nanny to watch her children. Unfortunately the man went on to molest the children and thankfully is now sentenced to prison. Maybe listening to your instincts when it comes to the well-being of your children is a *good* idea.

Did she get the spot? o_O At least this victim had the sense to get out of there with her baby and call the police and didn't try and settle things herself!

I can remember a couple of episodes of this when we were in Philly, one time a man shot another to death over a parking spot at 7-11, another time when someone removed the chair someone placed where they dug their car out of the snow and parked there, and a truly terrible one where someone got a flat on a one way street and a mechanic got out to help the person change their tire and some other idiot shot the mechanic dead for not moving the car out of his way.

So in L.A. they've had a string of these "smash and grab" robberies of nice stores, and the police arrested 14 people involved with them. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM has been released because of these "no bail" policies and is back on the street! Something has to change.

    "
Los Angeles police recently arrested 14 suspects in connection with 11 "smash and grab" robberies in the city in late November – but all 14 suspects are back on the street, the city’s police chief says.

The reason? The state of California’s "zero bail" policy, Chief Michel Moore told reporters at a Thursday evening news conference, according to FOX 11 of Los Angeles.

"All the suspects taken into custody are out of custody, either as a result of one juvenile, or the others as a result of bailing out or zero-bail criteria," Moore said."

Finally, we see a case where the parents are also held liable for the criminal acts of their minor child.

    https://apple.news/AJOf3k3FJRiu8hBKD9wMs3g

A Michigan prosecutor on Friday filed involuntary manslaughter charges against the parents of the suspect in the suburban Detroit school shooting after she said they purchased the firearm for their son as a Christmas gift.

Crumbley was charged Wednesday as an adult with murder, terrorism and other crimes in what investigators described as a methodical and deliberate massacre.

When asked whether her office was looking into charges for any school officials, McDonald said the investigation was ongoing.

"While the shooter was the one who entered the high school and pulled the trigger, there are other individuals who contributed to the events on Nov. 30, and it's my intention to hold them accountable as well," she said.

What I heard is that they can’t be found as of Friday night. A lawyer representing the parents said they left their home due to concerns about their safety but will turn themselves in. In the meantime law enforcement considers them fugitives and are hunting them down. IMO they know they have a lot of ‘splaining to do.

    *update

They were caught and are in police custody.

The parents of the teenager suspected in Tuesday’s school shooting in Michigan were taken into custody after a manhunt, Detroit police said early Saturday morning.

I know we have to consider the source but if there’s any truth to this, what a hoot!

    https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2021/12/tucker-carlson-hunter-biden-georgetown-recommendation

A leaked copy of an email exchange between Hunter Biden and Tucker Carlsonsuggests that the Fox News host once asked the now president’s son to write a college recommendation letter for his son. Yes, the same Carlson who spent weeks attacking and obsessing over every detail of the Hunter Biden laptop story, asked for a recommendation letter for his son, Buckley, who was trying to get into Georgetown University, Biden’s alma mater.

“I can’t thank you enough for writing that letter to Georgetown on Buckley’s behalf,” Carlson wrote in a 2014 email to Biden. “So nice of you. I know it’ll help. Hope you’re great and we can all get dinner soon.”

Vice News could not verify the authenticity of the email exchange, and Carlson and Biden did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
