FTWD Episode 510 "210 Words per Minute" Spoiler Summary

***This is a full summary of the episode.***

Dwight, Morgan, and Grace respond to a call for help they received over the radio. Someone named Chuck has been living in a mall and he has been bitten while corralling walkers. He wants someone to come and kill him after he turns and bury him outside underneath the stars. Dwight, Morgan, and Grace break into the mall. It appears to be intact and not looted. Grace and Morgan locate the security office while Dwight scopes out the mall. Morgan and Grace find the box of supplies that Chuck had taken along with the radio. Chuck also loaded up an ipod with audio books for Grace to listen to. However, there is no Chuck in the office. They only find a chair with rope. They assume that Chuck turned and walker Chuck managed to break free of the ropes and is now wandering the mall. Morgan decides that they are going to stay there, find Chuck, put him down, and then bury him like Chuck requested. Dwight questions risking themselves to kill someone who is already dead. As Dwight and Morgan discuss this, Grace suddenly passes out and collapses on the floor. They take her to a department store bed to look after her. Dwight turns on his radio and hears a blues song being played over the channel by Daniel. This is a coded message from Daniel. Another truck stop has been raided by Logan's group (the truck stop where Logan confronted Wes). Morgan sends Dwight out to gather the convoy so they can load up all the supplies they can from the mall. However, Dwight has an additional plan of his own. Before he departs the mall, he calls out to Daniel over an open radio channel announcing the road/location where he is headed.

Grace tells Morgan that she wants to use the Urgent Care to examine herself. Every morning she wakes up in fear that that will be the day she experiences the first signs of cancer. She wants to take some x-rays of herself to know for sure. They will have to go downstairs however in order to reach the generator and to get to the Urgent Care. So Morgan distracts the walkers with a radio controlled car and manages to clear a path for them. However, Grace thinks she sees Chuck (he told them he would be wearing a red jacket) and goes after the walker, only to have the herd turn back around and pursue Morgan and Grace. The hold up in a nutrition store where Grace talks about her life pre-apocalypse. But the walkers manage to start cracking the glass doors at the front of the store forcing Grace and Morgan to escape through the back hallways of the mall. They manage to locate the generator and Grace starts working to turn it on. Morgan shares a little bit about his life before the apocalypse, specifically about how serious he can be, but his wife Jenny and son Duane always made him smile so much. Grace admits to Morgan that she is someone who always plays it safe and never takes the chance. That is why she never married or was even in a relationship.

The generator starts up and the mall comes back to life. The stores light up, the muzak starts playing, and the escalators start to run again. Morgan and Grace manage to make it to the Urgent Care. They try to force the metal gate open, but this sets off the alarm. All the walkers that were over at the nutrition store now start to converge on the Urgent Care. Grace and Morgan escape back upstairs only after having to fight off a stream of walkers being carried up the escalator one at a time. They reverse the direction of the escalator and head back to the security office to turn off the alarm. While there, Grace finds the key to the Urgent Care and Morgan sees someone on the roof in one of the camera monitors. The guy is alive and is wearing a red jacket -- they found Chuck. So they go up to the roof and meet up with Chuck. He wanted to see the stars one last time before he died, but it was a cloudy night. Grace goes away and comes back with a star project toy and projects it on the underneath of a nearby overhang. Chuck smiles and enjoys the thoughtful gesture as they all sit together on the roof.

Grace and Morgan bury Chuck outside according to his wishes, and then go back inside and clear out the area so they can get to the Urgent Care. However Grace realizes now that, like Chuck, she doesn't want to "die" inside the mall. She decides that she really doesn't need to know whether or not she might have cancer and she is going to change her outlook on life and stop living as if each day is her last. They still have some time and power from the generator left so she and Morgan take a ride on the carousel in the mall. They ride side by side, smiling and enjoying their time together.

After leaving the mall, Dwight headed out towards the road he announced over the radio. He stops in the road and gets out to relieve himself. One of Logan's men comes up from behind and knocks Dwight unconscious after Dwight informs the guy that this was Dwight's intention all along. When Dwight comes to he is in the back of a box truck. The guy attempts to interrogate Dwight about the location of the oil field, but Dwight shuts him down. Dwight tells Logan's man that he understands why this guy is doing this, but the guy has to figure out if this is really who he is and who he wants to be. The guy leaves Dwight only to return later with a bag. Dwight teases the guy if he finally found a way to torture Dwight and the guy tells Dwight that he understands him. Dwight is going through what many guys go through when they lose a woman. The guy has found Dwight's stash of letters from Sherry. He starts to burn one of the letters telling Dwight that he will continue to burn each letter until Dwight tells him the location of the oil field. Just then, a walker approaches the rear of the open truck. When Logan's man goes to shoot the walker, Dwight pounces on the guy, takes the gun, and knocks him unconscious. When the guy wakes up, Dwight has him walk out to the edge of the road. Dwight tells the guy that he [Dwight] is an asshole -- or at least used to be. But someone gave him a second chance, and now he is giving this guy a second chance. He tells the guy to take off walking through the woods, and when he gets to the other side, he has a choice to continue being an asshole like he is now, or find a new way to live. The guy starts walking off into the woods and Dwight heads back to the truck.

Dwight and the convoy arrive in the morning at the mall. Dwight tells them that the bruise on his face is because he ran into one of Logan's men, so they should be quick about loading up the trucks and get out of there so Logan's group don't find them or the mall. As the convoy loads up the trucks, Daniel finally gives Dwight a shave and a haircut.

Once everything is loaded, Grace has their pickup truck fueled, and even brought along some protein bars as snacks for the trip. However, Morgan tells her that he won't be traveling with her. His excuse is that he needs to catch up with Al because she is alone and he thinks she needs backup. After all that Grace and Morgan have been through, and sharing intimate details of their personal lives that they really haven't shared with anyone else, this breaks Grace's heart. As Morgan walks away to get into a car, Grace starts to cry. As he drives away, he sees her in his rearview mirror watching his car. Morgan starts to break down and cry as he leaves the mall.

An intact unlooted mall 3-4 years (at least) into the ZA. Yeah, that sounds plausible.

Yep, as plausible as the plane and everything else we've been told to swallow lately.
