Anyone have any theories who he's talking to?
I had a dumb idea he might be talking to Charlie from 462 who also seems to have some sort of interesting background.
But nah, that's a bridge too far.
Looking forward to things finally starting to pick up for the season next episode.

 

He is talking to El Chappo... Strand is going to bust him out of jail....and that's why he wanted Nick to help him. He figures Chappo will pay Nick with free heroine. But really, no way of knowing yet who Strand is talking too..but it will be revealed very soon.

 

From the way Strand talks, the other person does not seem to be his subordinate or his boss or his love interest. It looks like his work buddy or his co-equal. And it does not look good as Strand only gets static noise in response on the second time.

 

Strand is in cahoots with someone for sure... It's definitely something dark that should become a major issue with Travis & Co or else he would have told them about his true plans.

 

Yeah something's real creepy, not the first time I had a bad feeling about this Strand fellow.
I got the same feeling about him when he first made friends with Nick.
Also the way he had made a deal with the guard wasn't cool.
Whatever he's up to, it doesn't seem good.

 

Any one know what the maps he was looking at showed?
Maybe a hint to where he is suppose to meet up?

 

They all showed parts of Mexico just over the border from California. They had sticky notes on them that listed Naval bases and their GPS coordinates. There was one additional sticky note that was obscured but had the words, "Coast Guard?"

So either the maps are used to navigate to those destinations or more likely they are used to avoid them while smuggling something. Strand probably has experience doing one or the other. I think that the only thing that Salazar could determine for sure was that Strand planned to take them to Mexico instead of San Diego.
