Wow. This really dates me, but I remember when 8-tracks came out. I actually belonged to a “record of the month “ club, and got a lot of 8-tracks.
Before them, we had, not only a stereo (record player) that covered an entire wall, but we had a reel to reel, that my Dad loved to play.
On Sunday mornings, our house would sound like a country western concert.

Why were they called 8-tracks anyway? Could they only fit 8 songs onto that format at that time?

 

Back on topic, Maggie didn't exactly jump at Georgie's offer. She sat them down and cautiously talked it over with her people. Besides, a huge part of survival is eating. At the current state of the food supply at the Hilltop, it had to be pretty hard to turn down that food offer.
