I rewatched Us last night and heard Joe say this to his boys before they killed Len. "Teach him a lesson boys, teach him all the way" I think it was actually Joe that put the rabbit head in Daryl's bag, just so he could have the rest of the claimers kill Len. He wanted him to die so Daryl could see exactly what happens when you don't follow the rules. Joe is a bad, bad guy.

So far what they've showed us from Joe's group, it seemed like Len was the biggest tool among tools. There's a chance Len has been pissising people off left and right in the group for awhile now. Hell, I'm sure Tony had a blast putting the stomp down. It was probably a perfect opportunity to put on a show for Daryl and deal with a problem all in one fell swoop.

that's my guess too. Len was the thug, not Joe, i have a feeling Joe's gonna turn out to be a decently cool guy, just the way he's putting himself forward. They wouldn't make him look so much like Kris Kristofferson if he wasn't a white hat.

I am pretty sure that Joe did say something about getting tired of Len's shit. He did indicate that Len was being a huge pain for a while. I think he was just looking for an excuse to get rid of him.

To wield that much power over people to order a brutal kill (with an arrow in the eye) is frightening. However, if Len did plant the rabbit knowing Daryl would be killed then he deserved his end. They are not good guys. Even Joe stated the Terminus folk wouldn't want a group like his inside.

That's my belief. We don't at this point have any reason to think that the situation wasn't just as they showed it. Joe realized there was someone in his group who was planting evidence on someone else in order to get them killed, and he meted out punishment for it. Harsh punishment, but fair. Again, so long as the system is truly FAIR to all, that seems reasonable, if not pleasant.

I also have been wondering if "All the way" meant kill him and/or kill his brain so he can't come back?

It might point to them using a freshly made Walker as a weapon before too?
Just like Rick did to them.

I think 'all the way' meant kill him but nothing more specific.

Whether Joe planted the rabbit, or watched Len do it, he chose Daryl. He could see that Daryl and Len would never co-exist and he had a choice to make of who he'd keep. He picked Daryl. Who wouldn't? If he planted the rabbit himself he set it up. If he watched it be planted, he seized the opportunity. Either way he got his man and showed Daryl just what kind of leader he was. On the face of it Daryl now knows not to cross Joe or break his rules. More subtly he knows Joe chose him and stuck up for him. It is ****ed up but that is how gangs get loyalty and Joe and bandits are nothing more than an aging redneck gang. Win:Win for Joe.

Yeah, I took the "teach him all the way" as a signal to kill him. And you're right, it is a win:win for Joe. And if I were Daryl, I'd be plotting a way to get out of there real quick.

So you don't think he could have meant all the way so he will not Zombify?
Kind of an important distinction these days to me.

Nope - only because that is such a given and/or Joe won't really care as long as they don't leave a walker bomb in his bunk. The distinction between beat him to a pulp and beat him to death is not a given. Joe decides and they do whatever he tells them to do.
