    OH the things you stumble upon when searching the internet

    Yesterday I was searching for upcoming cons in Texas....

    Hmmmm we Texas Frightmare and Dallas Fan Expo in May

    Several anime conventions....

    And then in March we have the TEXAS FURRY FIESTA......I was equal parts perplexed, curious and scared

    So of course I had to find out just what exactly a furry fiesta is. Thankfully it is not what I thought it would be (and doesn't THAT say a bit about my left of center mind set?!)....

    Come to find out it is innocent enough......granted whack-a-doodle.....but innocent

    Furry Convention


    Furry Fiesta is a yearly gathering of anthropomorphic art, science fiction, and fantasy fans held in Dallas, Texas, USA. It is operated by the Dallas Regional Anthropomorphic Meeting Associating (D.R.A.M.A.), Inc., a Texas-incorporated organization dedicated to advancing anthropomorphic art and fan activities in the Dallas, TX, region of the U.S.A. and beyond.

    I thought it was going to be those......fur people....things.......which it kinda is.....but those people will probably be there too. LOL

    YES!!!! GAWD that would be a strange convention. Although I am sure they have one. Dammit what do they call themselves? Actually I think we have a thread in Debates dedicated to them. OFF TO DEBATES!

    Just the name of it sounds like something one should stay away from unless you know you belong there... kind of like a Hell's Angels' bar.

    The best part would be that right when you walked in to the hall was when they were snapping the picture for your local newspaper.

    I tried that, but it brought up information about browsing privately and a band called "Incognito", there was nothing about "Furry" there???

    I think it's kind of creepy, regardless, in the same way I would going to a clown convention.
