Agreed! He's just "the guy who has sex with the doctor and wasn't killed by Negan to me" Wouldnt care if he was gone at all. I like Gabriel for some reason. Voice of god in all of this is always interesting.

Oh, thanks mate. I don't see him dying soon. Maybe he finally grows some balls and goes against Negan, but as soon as he does that, Negan ends up killing him. And jesus takes over the Hilltop!

After reading The Road to Woodbury, is everyone still 100% sure Martinez was lying? He tried to

I didn't think he was lying (mostly because of the book) but I thought it was stupid because I can't see him getting anyone out without the gov. knowing.

I think the book and the comics are two different bodies of work. Martinez would have filled them in if he wanted to bring people back, not hoof it as fast as he could back to Woodbury. Also what legend said, he's not gonna be able to sneak a bunch of people out again or little by little. Also the Governor in the comics saying it was his plan. In any event, I find little semblance between the books and the comics, just as there is little semblance between the comics and a lot of the TV show.

The books are prequels basically. The books are 100% connected to what happens and canon.

I still feel the twist near the end of the Rise of The Governor leads me to believe otherwise.

That is kind of the entire point of the twist. A new look towards The gov. The books are confirmed canon to the comic series. The third book is actually going to cover the comic events too.

Especially since The Fall of The Governor is about the war with the prison
