If it's that easy to make a gap, Rick should have done so a long time ago (make a gap, not dangle a person!) Maybe Maggie's flashlight technique or something.

 

As I understand it, if you dangle someone over a sea of walkers, they become like Moses and all the walkers part beneath them leaving exposed ground for them to fall on rather than having all the walkers crowd there trying to get at them. This makes no sense whatsoever and was another terrible moment in the episode.

 

I think when spencer fell it was a gap because all the walkers were directly under him. When the cable broke he swung back against the wall where it was a gap. So the walkers don't leave a space for u. The gap Rick was talking about was the gap made because all the walkers were focused on spencer

 

Sounds like something Gimple would say, but there are a LOT of walkers there, right? If the ones near Spencer see him and start going crazy, wouldn't the ones next to them turn and do the same? IOW, nearby walkers should be pressing to get in to any space that was created by the walkers that were under Spencer -- at least IMO.

OTOH, this was a lot more believable than what they did with Glenn, so I shouldn't complain.

 

Yea I don't think it can get any more unbelievable than what happened with Glenn. But maybe this could be a new way to distract walkers. Hang something about 20 feet away from the wall and all of them will
focus on its not many of them will be pressing against the wall

 

The Gap has a store outside the ASZ wall and its surrounded by walkers???? This Black Friday shit is out of control, man!
