The Highwaymen

    I like them! It seems like road escorts would be a natural gang to develop in the apocalypse, and they would be essential in keeping communities safe and connected. Kids who would normally have join the military would have a natural affinity for the Highwaymen.

    I do think it is silly, though, to suppose seeing movies on a big screen would be that special. Since there is electricity, everyone would have been watching movies on tapes on television sets. Collecting a nice variety of prints of movies would be a much bigger challenge than finding VCR tapes.

    But I already like the Highwaymen and I hope they last. Their name is a little distracting, of course.

    I wonder, if it would be better for the Highwaymen to join one or more of the communities instead of living outside somewhere. In exchange for 'breakfast and bed', they provide 24-hour security service. If a community needs to do a road trip, they (as the security escort) would go along. If there is no road trip, they guard the perimeter.

    I lurrrved the highway men. I thought that the mystery, humour ,general vibe was awesome. The requests they made and also the grammar was cool! annnd through absolutely no voluntary will of my own, I am strangely finding Ozzy attractive. Halp.

    My thoughts too. I'm still unsure if they're gonna end up being friend or foe. I'm kinda hoping friend - And like you say, maybe join in with one of the communities.

    I just have one question; How did they get Toby Keith to be their leader?!?
