The zombie, who came to eat Megan's mud pies and peanut butter sandwiches, was, according to my theory, someone who got buried and killed by that mud slide of that slope. This is the only logical reason why the zombie rose from underneath.

And, this is genius writing by the show writers. That mud slide could (and should) not be artificially made in order to shoot that scene. It must already exist on that site prior to the filming and the writers came saw and took advantage of this geographical feature. I think it is genius to make good use of the environment.

    What do you think?

Yeah, I agree with you, this walker was probably someone who was burried alive by that mud. The signpost is there for that I suppose :)

If I remember it right, the sign was ''Warning! Flash flood area''

Y'all are wrong. It's a new type of zombie to make the show more exciting. They not only have to worry about walkers and biters, now they must be on the lookout for diggers.

I thought it was pretty creative.

I also liked the walker who crossed the river and sank. That would definitely make getting freshwater and food from water sources much more dangerous than previously.

It was nice, it wasn't "genius."

That or it could have been a walker who got caught in a flood. I'm not sure if they made use of something they found in the environment, or if they tore up the ground in that area purposely. It seemed like a fairly focal, well circumscribed patch of mud, so they may have created it.

I do too, to be honest. The surrounding land seemed dry and already had full grass growing again, while that one spot was still soaking wet mud. And being on a slope, while adjacent land was flat, I would think the part where Meghan was would actually have dried faster after a flood. But, i'm no limnologist.

I thought that they were going to have a flash flood carry Megan away, which would have been awful. Using the sign to explain a buried walker? Excellent!

Clearly the walkers never saw Land of the Dead.

    Agreed.

It was also a nice little homage to this guy as well...

I was wondering, how that Walker came out from under the ground. He must been killed by someone. Heard Meagan playing mud pies and peanut butter sandwiches. Pop out from the ground.
