Is the bike you're thinking of the one with the flat that he was walking with on the highway when he came across the bridge and car crash? If so, this is a different bike, one that he used before he got Daryl's. I think he asked for Daryl's because this one broke down

 

They found it out where Denise was killed. Right where Glenn Michonne Rosita and Daryl were taken last season for the line up.

So where would Daryl go even if he did escape? He couldn't go to hilltop or alexandria. Maybe the kingdom since the saviors don't seem to actually go INTO the kingdom.

 

I imagine he's going to end up getting with Jesus and Michonne. Jesus will inform him that Maggie and the baby are fine and back at the Hilltop. As of now, unless the morse code theory is true or Rick signaled to him. Daryl also thinks Maggie is dead.

He will want to get back to Alexandria because that's where Negan took Carl.

He sure can not go anywhere that the Saviors go into at all.

Maybe he will establish his own town called DarylBurg like Otis did in the original Superman movie with Gene Hackman.

Only problem is that no one can know of its existence and also no one else will live there so it will be an actual 1 man town with Daryl alone in the Apocalypse!

That's what I was thinking too! If Daryl escapes where can he go!? Can't go back to ASZ or Hilltop as Neegan will come looking for him and probably bash a few more skulls in. And nobody else (bar Morgan and Carol) from our group know about the kingdom yet.

As for the note, I think it was Sherry trying to help. She's got to Daryl cell before so no reason why she can't do it again.

 

Why can't he go to the Hilltop? Negan doesn't know he's ever been there.

 

If he is seen there we will see skull crushing for sure.
Also Simon certainly thinks the two groups know each other.

 

Doesn't mean he wouldn't go there. Especially if he's with Jesus (religious tone not intended). Jesus hid 2 women in a hall closet from Simon. I think he could hide Daryl somewhere.

 

That's brilliant, Honda. I was trying to figure out what they key was for that would do Darryl any good at all. And you're right -- it has to be his bike. That means it has to be Dwight. (So, if it was, shouldn't Dwight be forgiven and redeemed, if he can help get Darryl out of there)?

 

I think it won't matter. As soon as he gets back to Rick and the all know where the saviours live, all out war will begin and they won't simply be letting Negan past the gates anymore.

 

How could Jesus infiltrate the precinct so easily and find the cell? Granted for the latter he could have followed Dwight and Daryl but it seems unlikely he got in so easily

Well, based on my own personal feelings of Dwight-- a number of which are partially based on comic spoilers I won't discuss here-- no. I don't think this singular act of kindness (which is basically pointless as, even if Daryl manages to escape, which will still be difficult armed only with a single match, where could he escape to where Negan won't find him?) doesn't overcome the fact that he stole Daryl's bike TWICE, stole his gun, stole his crossbow, shot him, and killed Denise.

 

Once Neegan realises Daryl is missing he would go and turn over every community looking for him. He may have never stepped foot in the Hilltop or Kingdom before but to find Daryl he would, and guarantee he'd have a few people Lucille'd to get them to talk!

 

Wouldn't be much of a fight with no guns!
