Until we see a multiplayer trailer for Ghosts, I still think BO2 will get a lot more discussion. We're making the change too early IMO.

 

Just because we're moving to a ghosts forum doesn't mean you can't talk about Bops II.

I personally have lost interest in Black Ops 2 so this doesn't really apply to me but I'm speaking for the community as a whole here. I'm pretty sure most people on this forum would not be particularly pleased with the change if we do it now.

 

Agreed. I don't care if it's in the future, but now is too early.

Why not change. I don't see any downside. As PSIII said, the anticipation of the next CoD will create more discussion then the same old threads on the current CoD.

That's actually what we should be trying to avoid. Starting a separate Ghosts forum requires bulding a new forum up from the ground. Also, this forum is going to quickly die off when Ghosts is released.

Ideally what we want to do is keep this as a BO2 forum right up until the point when Ghosts is getting more attention. When that happens, we redo the site and change it to a Ghosts forum. That way we get to switch to the more popular discussion topic while keeping the forum's userbase intact.

Except that forum is absolute shit.

Because RIGHT NOW, it's better to have a BO2 forum as the central discussion point with a Ghosts sub-section rather than the other way around. Change it later when Ghosts becomes the more popular discussion point.

It can and probably still will be the central point of the discussion. The only thing that is changing is where we're posting. The community is what is important and that's not changing. Plus by making the move now we will attract more new members to our community.
