People in Cuba are protesting over poor economic conditions. Best of luck to them in improving their lives.

    "
Thousands of Cubans took to the streets in Havana to lash out at the worsening conditions in the country under the communist regime—the biggest protest in decades—prompting the country’s president to call on "revolutionary" citizens to counter the protesters.

President Miguel Diaz-Canel, who also heads the Communist Party, addressed the country and blamed the U.S. for stoking the anger, according to the Washington Post.

    SOCIALIST SANDERS MUM ON PROTESTS

"The order to fight has been given - into the street, revolutionaries!" he said in an address, according to the BBC."

Something unbelievable. The mastermind of the Haitian president's assassination? Is an American citizen! A medical doctor of Haitian descent who desired to become the President of Haiti and hired a bunch of hitmen to try and take over the government! I hope the rest of the world doesn't blame America for this, and more importantly, I *really* hope the American government isn't responsible!

    "
Christian Emmanuel Sanon, a 63-year-old Haitian-born American who worked as a doctor in Florida, flew to Haiti in early June on a private jet with "political objectives," Charles said.

Some of the alleged hitmen joined him on the plane, Charles said.

According to Charles, Sanon planned to steal the presidency from Moïse, and wanted to hire the hitmen who carried out the killing to be his personal bodyguards, The Washington Post reported."

Sounds like this Dr. had delusions of grandeur to me. Besides the gov. and military are too busy screwing over their Afghan interpreters to worry about Haiti.

Wow, people are now getting text messages from Trumps camp, posing as an overdue bill.

Here's something funny. The State of Illinois says Trump is due a 1 million dollar *refund* on his taxes. Bet no one saw that coming, LOL! Predictably, Cook County is trying to block payment of Trump's money to Trump. I wonder if the people cheering Cook County's actions will cheer as loudly when they want to keep THEIR refunds as well.

    "
An Illinois tax agency ruled that former President Donald Trump is owed a $1 million refund on the 2011 tax bill for the downtown Chicago skyscraper, however Cook County officials are doing their best to block the refund, the Associated Press reported.

The Chicago Sun-Times reported that the issue was that the Cook County Board of Review overestimated the value of the Trump International Hotel & Tower's hotel rooms and retail space. The Illinois Property Tax Appeal Board voted 5-0 to reduce the assessment on the building's commercial property last month."

My question is, did Illinois over value his property of did trump over value it on a loan doc? If he is owed based on their mistake, he deserves every penny. If this is a technicality based on his fraud, then he deserves prosecution.

Illinois is reliably blue, so I can't see them trying to give him money back that is based on fraud. My suspicion would be that the city/state wanted to get more tax money from his business and so appraised his probability of rentals higher, etc. The thing is, the city still made money off the deal though, as they've been earning interest off Trump's money for the past couple of years. Likewise, Trump has NOT been earning money in interest, so he was penalized unjustly.

I try to avoid all things Trump, but I did catch a news blurb that he was threateningly saying that they "knew the name" of the officer who killed the insurrectionist. That's just mafia style thuggery. Hopefully he's continuing to eat a healthy diet of fast food every day. All day.

Well, August 13th is almost over, and Biden is still our president.

I just hope that the Trumplicans finally realize that it’s just another grift.

Good ol' Cuomo decided to let a few murderers out of prison before he left office.

    "
Among the sentences commuted was that of 68-year old Greg Mingo, who was convicted of four counts of second-degree murder, first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary, and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He has served over 39 years of a 50-year-to-life prison sentence.

Three more individuals with second-degree murder convictions also saw their sentences commuted, including 66-year-old Ulysses Boyd and 59-year-old Paul Clark.

Additionally, 76-year old David Gilbert, who was convicted of second-degree murder and four counts of first-degree robbery in 1983, saw his case referred to the Parole Board.

Cuomo also granted a pardon to 51-year-old Lawrence Penn, who pled guilty to first-degree falsifying business records in 2015."

I was looking to see if rump pardoned any murderers but i should have known. He only pardoned those in which he had a self interest. So he pardoned those that might flip on him to get out if jail and set precedents for future pardons for himself. Crimes like fraud, bribery, lying on financial statements, embezzlement, intimidating witnesses, oh and Lil Wayne!!

trump met someone he cant remember and said something he cant remember. But trust him it was the greatest thing ever said to anyone ever. And despite the fact that that someone didn’t stuck to his word, that person who’s name he cant remember respects him very much. If he had won re-election, that person he cant remember would have stuck with the deal he cant remember making. Because... i dont know... because?
