I would love to see the writers face this stereotype head on with the middle finger and what better way to do that than by making Daryl gay. It would work so well with his character.

Probably a combination of their history and the chemistry on screen. You can't really define what it is, all you know is that it's there and it grows. In a recent interview, MMB commented that she was upset she let the Carol/Daryl people down, but also said that doesn't mean another opportunity won't happen again in the future. Not sure if she's serious or just messing with us but it makes me wonder. Both Daryl and Carol deserve to be happy no matter what the future decides or who they end up with. But I would be shocked if they ever did end up together, cause I'm not counting on it happening considering TWD writers like to make the fans suffer lol. But Glenn better take his massive shit already or there will be rioting and lots of it.

I didn't get the sense of sexual tension really at all, same way Daryl and Carol have always kind of been when they're together. I think people read too much into it sometimes on the romance angle.
