I probably shouldn't watch it then. But you know, just knowing I shouldn't watch it makes me kind of want to. LOL!
Yeah. I wouldn't have done too well in the Garden of Eden. Once I knew it was there I'd keep looking at the apple, polishing it, touching it... eventually I'd have my husband taste it, LOL.
You really can't go wrong with 1 or 2 either way. What made the difference for me with 2 was just how they showed Michael's further dissent into darkness. The way he treated his wife Kay, and then of course him having Fredo killed at the end.
Wow, I find this to be a rather open ended question...we need categories say favorite dramas, comedies, romance, blockbusters, horror, pre 1960, family/children friendly, foreign, Holiday etc. lol cause I have favorites in all these, and obviously some cross categories. Five in any category is too limited but here are five romances (post 1960) that have been favorites of mine in no particular order: The Piano Moonstruck Practical Magic The Last of the Mohicans (Daniel Day Lewis) Harold and Maude Honorable mentions: Fanny The Trap (cheesy as hell but I love it) Phenomenon Enchanted Romancing the Stone
Okay @purriwinkle I am game. I pick you to choose the category on any given day I am not a huge romance movie fan. More times than not I watch them because nothing else strikes my fancy - it is almost accidental. But at times they have proven to be happy accidents My top 5 Romance movies post 1960 (this is going to take some thinking) 1. Me Before You (box of tissue worthy) 2. Where the Heart Is (Cheesy AF but dammit I like watching it) 3. Pride & Prejudice (with Kiera Knightly) 4. Brokeback Mountain 5. Love Actually
That's an interesting selection. I missed the P&P version with Kiera Knightly so I'm glad to see you gave it a thumbs up. Gonna have to watch that, along with Me Before You. If it's tissue worthy it's gotta be good!
@Dnae, sounds good. First off, I have to make clear that new movies out within the last two years may not appear on any of my lists. Circumstances have prevented me from getting out to the theater like I used to unless it's a big blockbuster and it becomes a family outing. When I get an opportunity to ever catch up, I'm sure I'll have some more favorites. I enjoy seeing what others like. They'll go to the top of my must see list.
Oh have a BOX of tissues when you watch Me Before You. I have watched that damn movie three times and each time I tell myself "you know this movie so you will have no reason to cry". WRONG. I do not watch Game of Thrones but I developed a bit of a girl crush on Emilia Clarke after watching this movie
