The Coast Guard uses the 229, the SEAL's use a 226, some Air Force and Army special forces use the M11 variant of the 228, but a 226 in the hands of the National Guard, unless it was his personally owned pistol I doubt he would have carried it. Yes, with current and ever growing anti-gun laws, many manufacturers are simply not selling product to Californians. Not only because CA has banned so much of it, but also because high-end custom products cannot afford to have their work destroyed in mandatory CA "safety" testing. Over-regulation is killing civil rights and business in CA.

Like I said, its very easy to miss or over look. I just happen to own one both (well, a semi-auto anyhow).

In the Mid Season Finale when Strand Comes across The Abigail he goes into the haul and arms himself with a Speargun and Scuba Diving Knife

 

When Madison Clark and Troys group Go out to find the missing group of the militia they come across a prison bus and uses a Cold Steel Spike Hawk till it gets stuck in a walker then she uses the prison guards Telescopic Baton on the remaining walkers.

 

In the new episode of Fear the Walking Dead Walker gives Madison what appears to be a United Cutlery M48 Hawk Tactical Tomahawk which she uses to dispatch a bloater in the sewers.

 

At the fire fight at the start of episode 7 season 4, Alicia is using an M16 mounted with an M203 grenade launcher, and a long range optic sight. This is a rather unusual combination, as the M203 requires a special metal "ladder" sight to aim the relatively short range grenades.
