I haven't seen it yet (as it hasn't been on) but it's got to be 10/10.

It can't possibly fall short of that.

11. Best episode in forever, and love that the things that have been left hanging feel like the right choices of things to reveal later. This was the best mix of character and suspense, for me, since maybe season 1. Awesome, awesome.

 

i like it when a scene from the comic is brought to the screen by Gimple, bandit scene probably best scene this year after Governor/Rick standoff at the prison fence

it was powerful watching the contrast between peace/farmer Rick and war/sheriff Rick

seeing Hershel again was great

i thought Terminus started off ok but i have no clue how they are going to get out of the train car because idk how Tyreese & Carol can save them

It was great, but does anyone know what "A" means?

 

I thought it was solid. I usually don't like jumping around in time as a way of storytelling but I think it worked here if you just isolate that message it was imparting by moving back and forth like that.

Pacing could've been tighter at Terminus, but I got a nice 'whoa!' moment when they were running and ran right past a blue tarp with a pile of bloody human bones on it.

 

RICK got off his ass and finally did something!!! A+ for that alone.

Hershel was bonus points. Hershel is such a huge part of this series, and of each and every character. His soul carries on with all of them.

My heart was about to jump out of my chest when they were going into the train car, I was expecting to see one of the group dead or eaten.

 

Its a reference to Len's old job as the letter A in the Village People's hit song.


I give this episode an 8.6. A reason I'm not rating it higher is because I felt like Gimple copped out a bit and played it too safe by not killing off anybody that we care about. At the same time, I was hoping they'd find a clever way to keep Joe around for awhile. But overall, good episode. Definitely better than the S3 finale.

 

The Walking Dead - "After" (S4E9)

"After" is the ninth episode of the fourth season of the post-apocalyptic horror television series The Walking Dead; it aired on AMC on February 9, 2014.

In this episode — written by Robert Kirkman and directed by Greg Nicotero — Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs) find themselves on the road following the attack on the prison, while Michonne (Danai Gurira) deals with her past.

The episode recorded 15.8 million viewers with 10.4 million adults between 18-49. The viewings for the adult 18 demographic were higher than the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics in the same time slot.

 

Solid 9/10, that was a seriously awesome episode. My favourite finale to date.
