Good: Striker and USAS-12

Usable: SPAS-12 and KSG-12

Bad: Model 1887 and AA-12

 

Pretty much.

 

Nothing expectional about the shotgun class in this installment of the Call of Duty franchise. I mean, I never see an overused supply of anyone in any game mode using them.

I also wouldn't consider them overpowered.

 

The Striker is ANNOYING.
the rest of them i dont mind at all, use them quite alot.

 

It does frustrate me a little when I'm continually getting killed by a Striker, but other than that, they're not really annoying, and they are for the most part pretty terrible. They should have been secondaries in this game. If they wanted shotguns to be primaries, they should at least make them half-usable and able to compete with the the other primaries.

 

Honestly, this argument again? You hate sniper rifles to i would guess as well. Shotguns in MW3 are underpowered, with exception to the striker and USAS-12 which are competitive with the SMG's and the AR's. Pump/Lever actions in this game are so inconsistent its not even funny and the AA-12 range and damage is just awful

 

Kind of a huge gap between i dont mind them and i use them every match. I'd fall somewhere in between. I have a gold USAS. Its nice for "run n gun" type maps, but in some maps its just not practical and i use an SMG or AR. Theres such a huge gap between the USAS and other shotties. Hoping BO2 is better.

Looks like the shotgun is the only weapon class which nobody can't do right. I really miss the MW2 shotguns. I know they were too strong for secondaries but at least they were good.

 

Dont mind shotguns.... Dont use them but dont give anyone any advantage....

 

Not sure i would rate the Spas 12 bad, check my Elite on how many kills i have with the Spas. I love it jsut takes abit of practice.

i agree about the Model though.

 

overpowered: Striker with range or damage
Balanced:USAS
in Need of a buff(in order of necessity):
KSG (Reduce spread with ADS)
Spas (Reduce spread with ADS)
Model (increase Reduced spread with ADS)
AA12 (more starting ammo and increased range)

They made a mistake with having damage and range as proficiencies IMO

 

Ive spent a lot of time with the Model 1887, mine is gold. The truth is this gun is horrible, until you get Damage. Once you unlock damage its just as good as the Spas 12/KSG 12.

The Striker is messed up, they built that gun in a very weird way. The USAS is great, it's powerful enough to do work but not a fhucking machine gun like the Striker.

The AA-12 is a waste of time. They built that gun with too many disadvantages. Sad really, if only it's range was increased it would be worth using.

The SPAS-12 is incredible once you achieve Range/Damage, and I have yet to use the KSG.

 

Sadly the SPAS-12 is a weaker version of the KSG for me. That one extra pellet really make a difference.

I really think what is worse: the Model or the AA-12. Both have been threated badly by the devs.
AA-12: Huge crosshair, only one sparing mag. Really? Why? The gun which only make hitmakers can't have two sprring mags.
Model: Big crosshair, no attachment (but it has two attachment proficiency) and that's made harder to get the good proficiencies.

I think there wasn't such a bad shitgun in the COD history since the trench gun. The AA-12 at least good for trolling but the Model is a pain in the ass.

 

AA-12 has piss-poor range and damage, but since it's full-auto it should be fine lol.
Striker is pretty good with a fast fire rate and good damage and range, plus if you have Range the Suppressor works well on it.
USAS-12 is pretty good too. One shots most of the time plus full auto makes it better than the pump-actions.
Pump actions suck. Their inconsistency damage does not warrant the short range and long time between shots.

 

Shotguns are comical in MW3.
As already mentioned, the only good ones are the Striker and USAS. They are actually worthy of being primaries.
Usables are the KSG and SPAS, don't know if they're deserving of primaries though, probably not.
And the bad ones that would be good secondaries are the AA-12 and Model.
I so wanted to love the Model, but that just can't happen in this installment.

 

They're all shit.
