What happened from ending of season 2 to beginning

    New to this forum, hello everybody
    i have a question please

    I was watching season one and season two on Netflex and purchase season three on Amazon video. The strange thing is at the end of season two they all ended up back together and there was a bunch of walkers all around them! There was a dark hooded girl Michonne with two walker slaves who cut the head off the walker that was attacking Andrea, Season three stars off where they have suppressors on their guns and not continuing on the ending of season two? What am I missing here?
    was there a few episodes I have missed out on???

    You're not missing anything... 8 months have passed between seasons 2 & 3, Rick's group have been traveling from house to house over the course of this time, looking for food, finding new weapons, and making their new flashlight silencers... They've been surviving on the road since last we saw them... Hope that helps!
