The bloody elevators from the shining was bad but I had many nightmares about Jason Voorhees chasing me as a kid. What movie really bothered you as a kid or even as an adult?

When I was 5, my parents and I all fell asleep in the living room with HBO on. I woke up in the middle of the night just in time to watch Nightmare on Elm Street parts one & two. I was terrified and literally too scared to move, but couldn't stop watching. It traumatized me, and I ended up sleeping on my parents bedroom floor for almost a year, as I refused to go in my room ALONE at night!

When I was only 5-6 yrs old I saw an episode of The Outer Limits (similar to The Twilight Zone) where a scientist created this monster on a big tv screen in his lab that was all just made up of blobs of light. The being eventually came out of the screen and attacked the guy, after that I couldn't watch tv for a while thinking monsters were going to come out of the screen and kill me. Oh those were the days of youth .. hahaha

Yeah the Exorcist was the ultimate in scary movies in it's time, it's funny for me when I watch it again nowadays it doesn't seem as scary as the first time.

The original 'The Omen' was scary as hell, that little kid Damien was very creepy.

Night of the Living Dead terrified me.

Never got around to watching The Twilight Zone because I caught a scene in a commercial that when this guy pulled back his drapes there were two pig faced demons on the other side of his window. Took me awhile to look out the windows at night time and prevented me from watching the Twilight Zone for years. haha

    Poltergeist messed me up to.

Also, a scene in Ghost Busters, one of my favorite movies when I was a kid, but whenever the librarian, "One, Two, Three, GET HER" scene came on I had to hide on the side of the tv.

Yeah Poltergeist was intense, also had some of the 'bad people' in the tv theme that is always scary to a kid.

If you like the original 1968 NOLD then ck out this even older movie from 1964 with Vincent Price called The Last Man on Earth.

His character name is Dr. Morgan in the movie and there's a scene where zombies keep banging on his door chanting "Morgan, Morgan' hahahah

Childs play when I twas but a child. I was deathly afraid of Chucky, or any dolls cause I was afraid they would come alive and stab me to death.

Yeah, after I watched Poltergeist I would become very unhappy whenever the tv showed those static/snow channels at nighttime.

Sweet! I'll check it out! Thanks for the heads up.

Not movies, but intros. I used to freak out over intros. That anti-piracy and THX intro.

Yup, I was a weird kid.
