When Carl is out on his own and goes into the house where he got the pudding, he's checking one of the bedrooms upstairs and the scene shows that he stops and looks at something on the floor. What the hell was it? [And why am I thinking about that stupid thing all morning?]

Looked like a canary or some other small pet bird, with birdseed laying by it.

As post below, parakeet, not a canary as I wrote. Duh.

It was a dead parakeet. The cage was right there too.

I was wondering about this too. Are they implying that the walker opened the cage and pulled the bird out? It didn't look like the bird had been munched on. And I thought that walkers couldn't open cages. That's why Morgan used birds and rats in cages as bait right? I'm sorry, I'm not quite following this one.

When the s--t hit the fan, the bird may have just been out of it's cage and that's why it eventually died out of its cage from lack of food and water.

Was there whistling in the background during this scene? It could've been something at my house, but I thought I heard some whistling.
