Where does COD go from here?

    So here's the critical question if I were to work at Infinity Ward, which I dont: Where do we go from here?

    3arc may milk another title out of Black Ops in the same timeline as BO2, but I would say IW needs to get out of the Modern Warfare business, which has kind of run its course.

    So where do they go next? Back to WW2, taking what they've learned from MW and BO and apply it to their original setting? Further into the future? Or do they change to Afghanistan and Iraq?

    It also seems 3arc plans to set the bar for single player. IW will have to include choices and consequences in their next game, whatever that may be. Further refining multiplayer is also a must to keep people interested.

    Any "where to" ideas?

    very interesting point i may ask..i agree 3arc may get another title outta this but even then where will there go as for IW who nows how there money making mind works

    IW will be like:WW2 nah,Terrorist War nah,Future war yeah I mean we can copy treyarch

    If done well, and I mean REALLY well, I wouldn't be totally against a far-future shooter from COD if they stay true to their roots somehow in the process. I would be very skeptical, but not totally against...

    You know what else? I'd love to see some Canadian soldiers again. I think it was COD 3 that there was finally a Canadian in the mix, and I want another one!

    We are forgetting it is now split into 3 companies. Treyarch, Infinity ward and sledgehammer.

    The best move for IW to do is make a prequel. Campaign wise, the Story would follow Ghost and how he got to become a member in TF 141. There is an entire comic book series on Ghost, so it's not like it's impossible. There was speculation that MW3 would be a prequel involving Ghost. As for the multiplayer, They would have to build on whatever Black Ops II does.
