He's hiding, but he's there somewhere. He's there in the very first scene at the gate and again when they're disarming. You have to watch closely, but he's there. After the "cart of guns" scene, I didn't see him again, so I'm going to theorize that on the day most of them got their jobs, he got his assignment which probably had to do with a church and kept him away from the rest of the group.

 

But how come we don't see him bunking in the same room with the rest of the group?

 

He probably felt better at the church in town

 

He's like one of those spot the difference picture puzzles.
