I agree. It's like asking which part of a PB & J sandwich is better, the PB or the J. The answer is that they are better together.

When Daryl yelled at Beth, that was probably the strongest part of the episode. But can you imagine the episode if it had just been Daryl? The first half would have been terribly boring. So, I would just say that they both made the episode.

Both of them did, just wow. I did NOT expect this episode to be amazing, but it was.

Perfectly said. I was trying to figure out how to say the same thing. Daryl made the episode for me, but it would not have been possible without Beth there to interact with & she did a GREAT job with this episode, so his reaction was believable.

Both, but Beth could've done much better on her first drink face. She barely flinched.

it is 50/50 for me, both were equally good in their respective roles.

Beth. She's never had a scene that called for strong acting, so I was always unsure of whether she was capable. But seeing her in her first big performance, I was surprised at her holding her own with Daryl. Daryl acted well too, they both did.

Daryl was great...and Beath was really good too..

This is Gimple's greatest gift to TWD fans... Instead of killing off main cast members....He is bringing them back to Life. Pure Genius..

I loved Daryl's breakdown and for him to really show emotion. Obviously he couldn't have done that without Emily.

That way he can kill them even more emotionally.

    Really liked this comment.

Both the Daryl and Beth characters have been rather MEH for me, I could not relate to all the Daryl and Beth love (as seperate characters - I am not referring to any kind of shipping!)

This episode made me understand them better to some extend.

I enjoyed Beths "I'm not Michonne" speech and how in her own way she tried to cope with the latest events of her father's death, getting seperated from her sister and feeling the loss of being part of a community whilst having to handle a depressed Daryl.

Nevertheless Norman's acting was brilliant - especially in the second half. He made the Daryl's character likeable (read human) for me, which honestly, I didn't expect could be done after almost four seasons. Big thumbs up.

Usually I think Beth is pretty terrible, EK's acting in this episode wasn't all that bad. Hopefully she'll continue getting better.
