Said it in another thread but Eugene has to die next week. While I don't hate the guy, most of the audience seems to and they devoted an entire episode to him essentially tonight. Can't see anyone else dying next week but him.

 

I think, Eugene (died trying to save Rosita when Negan attacks ASZ) and probably Gabe (died due to sickness) too.

Good point that this was Eugene's episode. Now Father Gabriel saying Eugene will come through in the end sounds like the set up for a noble death.

Whatever it is, it's "shocking". I don't see Eugene dying as "shocking".

That would only qualify if it was Rick, Michonne, Judith, Carl, Daryl, or Negan. Or maybe Negan surviving when we think he's going to die.

Eugene, Dwight, Gabe, those deaths wouldn't be shocking enough to make a big deal about it.

 

I'm going with the unconfirmed speculation is dying. No doubt in my mind. I think Hardwick knows as well his reaction yesterday showed it

 

I thought the same. It could be another dumpster dive fake out though too. Past couple of years Gimple has loved cheap gimmicks.

 

I was going to say the dumpster death kind of thing but you beat me to it.

 

I never bought it with Glenn's dumpster death. I knew he would survive.

 

The only characters who (IMO) would warrant such a statement as made by the AMC announcer would be
Rick (not happening)
Daryl (not happening )
Maggie (not happening)
Judith (ehhhh maybe but I hope not)
Michonne (do not think it will happen but there is a little bit of wiggle room here I fear)
Carl (maaaaybe)
Carol (maaaaybe)
Negan (sadly, not happening)

As to the other characters. I just do not think it is time for Gabe to leave. And I certainly do not think that Eugene is going to die in the MSF. His character will have redemption - I believe in this beyond doubt!

 

We all know TPTB will not just tell us the character is dead for sure they need all the buzz so they'll cliffhanger it and drag out who dies until 809

 

I’m thinking Dwight, Eugene, Gabe or hell, even Carl. The latter would be super shocking!

But many people are going to die. Both sides are finally on the front lines.

 

It will lead to what we expect to be Eugene's death.

Then in the last second he'll be saved by Father Gabe, who will sacrifice himself to save Eugene. And that will haunt Eugene and turn him good again.

 

I think it's going to be Rick.

Of course, it may just be another dumpster bait and switch, so only short term shocking.

 

If Darryl doesn't die, we riot.

 

Yeah, I think we will SEE who the prospective casualty of war is BUT I do not think his/hers fate will be finalized until the February return.

That way the buzz of is he/she or isn't he/she dead will continue until the February return!

 

I think Daryl will live, but he'll be sent away like Carol was, which is where his spin-off Ride picks up.

 

I could live with this....make it happen!

 

There hasn't been any buzz for this show since 2015
