I must have missed it, but why did the Z in the boat stop attacking Nick?

It was like the fight just stopped, the Z looked confused, Nick look confused about why the Z stopped attacking, and just slowly backed away.

I thought maybe an edit splice was missed or something.

The idea was that it was suppose to have been distracted by Travis' yelling outside. Although I'm not so sure that would be enough to make it disinterested in Nick.

My immediate thought was that the water is messing with the zombies. Maybe it's hard to smell the living cause of all the ocean salt water. Also Nick pushed off and they separated underwater if I remember right...maybe Nick dunking and coming back up threw off the zombie as well.

I thought the same thing about Travis yelling for Nick.
And I think Nick realized it

It ate before going in water and had a cramp.
    It got waterwalkerlogged.

It looked to me that the zombie was stuck with something that was part of the boat pinning him back and basically was stuck..

The bald dude with a beard (who apparently has something to do with the production or writing of FTWD, sorry not a big enough fanboy to care) said this was the case. He said that it is still early on in the ZA and the recently turned still display some human thangs.

He didn't say they display human behaviors, just that they look more human in appearance.

Zombies can't really swim. They just go where they float.

Ooh, cool. Now I am imagining huge zombie gyres.
