It was a thank you I suppose. He saved their lives. I don't think he was actually going to kill them, but some also took it as Morgan didn't kill them for that.

She was giving him things that had value. The currency of the ZA. Food and ammo. Things like Liquor, Smokes, Food would be extremely rare after a time.

I wonder if that Bullet will come into play some day.

It's the same bullet he put on the altar at Gabriel's church (season 5)

The two were no fighters so they were used to buying themselves out of trouble, even if said trouble was only potential.

A bullet can always come in handy in a zombie apocalypse...

I'd rather have one Goo Goo cluster than one bullet.

I was going to do an experiment. Go out and buy a big bunch of Goo Goo clusters this morning and eat one per month to see how they hold up. Problem is I have a "sweet tooth" and no matter how many I bought I would devour them all in the first week.

My thought exactly. Will it save him or kill him?

Yes, I remember now. It was symbolic of his commitment to not kill humans anymore.

I know we all interpret things differently, but the way I took that scene is he was struggling with whether or not to kill them, and the terrified girl saw this, and took a chance at offering kindness in turn. This was a pivotal moment - I think that's what ultimately pulled Morgan back from the brink. He was teetering with Eastman's teaching and the struggle in his own mind. In the end, what helped him accept Eastman's way of thinking was a simple act of human kindness. Just my .02

the entire episode involves Young Man getting his crutch stuck in a mole hole, and all the methods they employ to free it.
