Why is this episode called Blood in the Street? Was there a dialog explanation? Thanks.

I think it refers to a conversation between Strand and Abigail. Something about a good time to invest in real estate if I remember correctly.

Baron Rothschild, an 18th century British nobleman and member of the Rothschild banking family, is credited with saying that "The time to buy is when there's blood in the streets."

Even if the blood is your own. Or something to that effect.

the Rothchild quote is probably correct..

but who knows heh.. TWD had an episode named "vatos" og mexican/hispanic lingo.. maybe FTWD followed suit w/ "blood" in the streets referring to nick walking around red covered in blood as a nod to LA/south cali gang history heh.. but most likely the rothschild thing or both with the latter being DL

I don't know but every time I read the title I think of the Smith's song "Panic in the streets of London"....hang the dj, hang the dj, hang the dj, hang the dj

I didn't know that song. I just listened to it. Does the "panic in the streets of London" reference Chernobyl, or just the "hang the dj" part? Anyway, it is an apt song. Thanks!

Yes. It is a market quote that outlines contrarian philosophy ....along the lines of, 'When all others are selling, buy; and when all others are buying, sell'.

The fact that Nick was red with blood while walking in the street is a plot cliché .
