Why would you camp outside?

I'm surprised they were sleeping in tents....would of thought they would of been fighting to sleep in the cars or on top of the RV.

Right! I don't think I could close my eyes for one minute in a flimsy tent.

I think that camping outside was a good move. I'm sure they were not the only survivor group camping in the woods.

I know that I wouldn't barricade myself in some house in the city where walkers are everywhere around me.

I think they started off camping there because they were waiting to get into Atlanta. And later on, when they could get there, it was too dangerous, but they didn't have anywhere else to really go.

I think in the beginning they thought this was a good idea, all the people along the road early during ZA probably thought camping in the woods was safer than being in a city or town.

One of the reasons was they were naive. Remember the walker who was munching on the deer? I think it was Dale that said that was the first walker they've seen that was that close to camp. They thought the camp was safe.

Why camp outside? Well, if they camped inside, that wouldn't really be camping, now would it?
