What Classic horror movie are you surprised they haven't remade yet?

Not that I am suggesting they should, because typically all Hollywood does is destroy our Culture one film at a time, just curious.

Or Even better which one do you hope they never try to make again???

I would say Dracula myself. Don't ruin the best vampire!

    Thoughts?

They just recently did it with The Thing.

With Carpenter's film and Cronenberg's film though....those are perfect examples of how a remake is done right. Unfortunately they're the exception rather than the rule.

God I hope not! The remake is one of my all time favorite creature features. It doesn't need to be remade again.

The Thing wasn't a remake. It's ment to be a prequal with the same title.

Yeah, I know....but c'mon. They could've given it another name. It was essentially a remake, but they used the Norwegian crew to try and pass it off as something else. It was also pretty bad...

True. I did like how it ended with the guys in the helicopter chasing after the dog, though.

I hope they DO NOT remake Alien. And I consider that a horror film.

Agreed. It was a horror movie, the ultimate "why not just leave the haunted house?"

Blasphemy! Actually, I really liked it but it could have been better. Very rushed and needed more character development to add more impact to the deaths.

Same here, I love both of Zombie's Halloween films. In many ways, I think I prefer them over the originals...I'm scared I'll get assassinated any time I say that, though.

The thing I liked about them is his style. Rob Zombie is good with the shock factor. House of 1000 Corpses and Devil's Rejects are two of the best horror films out there in my opinion.

I agree! The original is okay but the sequels were all shit. Both of Rob's films are far superior. Also The Devil's Rejects is one of the greatest films ever made.

Absolutely! My mouth was opening a little more and more as that movie went on. Not a fan of House of 1000 Corpses?

Oh, I love House of a 1,000 Corpses. It just doesn't come close to Devil's Rejects. I think Rob should do a prequel all about the Firefly family. That would be badass! And my favorite quote from Rejects is: "What's the matter kid? Don't you like clowns? Don't you think we're f*ckin' funny?"
