For me it was Carl saying to Siddiq, "Sometimes kids have to find their own way, to show their parents the way." It was something one of us might post about character development and motivation, but it wasn't something Carl would say so abstractly. Gah. It made me physically cringe and took me out of the show.

It was definitely cringy, like the climax to a Full House episode or something.

Rick as he's surrounded by the ridiculously contrived garbage people: "Or we will destroy you."

Carl is back to being naive kid from Full House again. "Sure I can trust Hobo-Joe Joe the drug addict with driving me to school today when dad is sick and mum is gone to heaven! Poor Carl then got sold to Bhutanese Organ Black Marketeers.

Full House was the single greatest television achievement of our lifetime. We should be so lucky as to be compared to such cinematic excellence. If Danny Tanner was leading this group, he would have cleaned house with those Garbage Pail Kids swiftly and effectively. Then Negan would've had no allies to betray them.

I vote for everything Jadis said.

    "Alone, you?"

    C'mon... Why not "you alone?"

And does it really pain her to say "are you alone?"

Amen! He is like our generations Charles Ingalls!

Also, is this season really bad at upholding the Walking Dead feel or is it just me? Everytime I see the Garbage kiddos I think im watching a really weird psychadelic sci-fi.

Kirkman originally pitched the Walking Dead as a series that would explain the phenomena of walkers as being caused by aliens. He lied to get his concept accepted. But the garbage people make it seem as if the aliens have finally arrived.

TWD is getting as bad as Dexter was in its final season.

"My Mom told me, you gotta do what's right"
Ugh! ok nice sentiment, but since when does Carl have Lori on the brain? and why is he going out looking for Siddiq when there is an "all out war" going on!? This feels so forced with the Lori stuff. Now he's on a mission to please Lori???? I haven't heard him say the word "mom" in 5 seasons. Keep it together writers. ok rant over and out.

She's his mother...she's probably on his mind every day. I wasn't a fan of his line that said something like, "Sometimes kids have to find their own way to show their parents the way..." because it was a bit cheesy, but it's not at all surprising that Lori would be on his mind. If you remember when Negan asked him to sing, he sang "You are my sunshine," a song that a mom would sing to a child.

At first I thought she said "Hello you" but then when Rick responded with "Yes I am" I was all confused. LOL

No kidding?!? I didn't know about the pitch, but I've long thought the apocalypse explanation was aliens sending down a virus to clear the planet of the humans while leaving the other animal life alone. The aliens have time to wait for the huge bulk of the reanimated dead to rot out while the few survivors continue to die and no longer present any unified threat to them anyway.

Yeah I don't get it either. The only thing worse would be if she used texting language and said things outloud like "BRB" "TTYL" "IDK".

Although it would be hilarious to see Jadis respond "L-O-L" with her deadpan face and tone.
