The S8 premiere episode "Mercy" had some horrible dialogue, but I think the worst was Tara saying to Daryl, Carol, and Morgan before they left to carry out their parts of Rick's battle plan, "Pleasure doing business with you all".

I actually thought I heard Tara wrong when she said that.

This should be a game we play with every episode of TWD and FTWD. :D

I have to go with Gabriel's line to Rick while he's trying to kill Negan. "We have to go! Rick! Rick! He's not going anywhere! We have to leave now! It's not about you, right?"

It sounded so awkward and out of place during the middle of a battle.

I had a hard time even looking at Tara with those goofy sun glasses, and the annoying licorice she was gnawing on. That character served its nominal purpose a long time ago.

I vote for everything King Ezekiel said this episode. Everything came off way too corny and over the top. He reminded me of Ken Jeong(Mr. Chow from Hangover), in the movie Role Models, when they were fighting that make believe medieval battle.

I missed that comment by Tara, but now that I hear it I think it's pretty funny. Tara's comments are great. Also liked when the walker horde was late and she says "close enough".

I deleted my comment because I looked like an exceptional individual. Sorry about that.

I was wondering why I couldn't quote it...

Of course people are allowed their opinion, but man, the people who hated it being the most vocal right now.

I disagree that the episode sucked...i enjoyed it, even if there were some flaws. It's tough to have any discussion when even threads that start off positive are being met with how badly the show sucks.

The overall story sometimes has a slower episode, where the character does or doesn't do something logical.

I wont say it was my favorite episode, but I thought it brought the point across.

And remember, even Negan played the cat and mouse game.

Tara comes off as a character they just aren't sure what to do with. There are moments when she is lucid and is grounded, then there are moments when she reminds me of a 13 year old girl trying too hard to be cool with her "whatever" attitude.

Zeke....I'm just over his larping nonsense. The dude broke character to Carol in his first appearance and has kept it up even through battle. I get it, he is trying to keep the image going to keep his people following his lead. But there is no reason for that now. The other groups aren't playing dress up and they are just fine. I mean I can fake an accent all I want, the moment people start shooting at me I'm pretty sure I'd drop the act.

I think the silliest lines in most episodes these days come from Ezekiel. At least each one he's in.

They had the same lines. The writers got lazy. They had to chop the scene up into fragments so no one noticed the duplicate lines.

Tara overall ruins the mood of the show. Her character is written like she belongs in a high school romance-comedy drama.

All these Tara haters lmao. She ROCKS! The show NEEDS her levity. And she's serious when she needs to be. Alana is killing it. The sunglasses and licorice were a nice touch. It added to the seriousness of the situation by mixing in a touch of humour. And her "close enough" comment was giggle worthy because it was SO Tara. I hope she stays for the long haul. The show needs her.

Sorry but I think she ruins the mood. Michonne can be bit happy and playing games with Carl but I think Tara takes things very unserious. Very very unserious. She is okay when it is a bit more light hearted, like in the camp with the females. EDIT: ANd oh, to even it out, Eugene can be to much at times to. He is also a sort of comedical relief.
