In that zombie world if someone I knew and trusted handed me food we'd be having a party. You do what it takes to survive.

Thread title should have stopped at "Would you eat Carol". The answer is a resounding "Yes". Nothing wrong with a mature woman.

[h=1]Quercus michauxii, Swamp chestnut oak, cow oak.[/h]
The Swamp chestnut oak's acorns are large and relatively sweet. I have eaten them raw and processed. I do not know about the beets except they are a good source of sugar.

One of my fav. trees. I am pretty sure they are not in the DC area much, but Georga for sure.

    Cookies!!! :)

I love how when Carol was standing there all happy with her home baked cookies Rick comes rolling in and tells her that "We are going to war"......Carol looks down at the cookies, like...That's the end of that Betty Crocker shit, then looks up to see dark clouds forming--The Storm is Coming.. Great Directing there. Nicotero is one hell of a storyteller.

I'd eat any cookies available except ones handed to me by Carol.

Depends on if the cookie comes with the smile of death... if not, of course I'd eat them. Only a sociopath wouldn't.

While watching her gather and prepare the ingredients I honestly thought she was making some kind of poison. I thought the happy tone was a setup for it turning out to be an "evil" thing she was making. When I saw it was cookies I was still kinda thinking they might be poisoned :).

Did you think she had flipped out and was going to poison the people in Alexandria?

I was surprised that Tobin was even hesitant before trying it. It's not as if they have many food choices.

Hell yea!! Carol's cookies might become the new catch phrase...

"Lizzie..er... Morgan, eat your cookies dear."
    Seriously though..

Carol's cookies might be good, but her Brownies will be even better especially now that Negan's men have been shown growing the sweet sweet mary jane.

Some moons ago, when I was newly married, I was making hamburger for dinner and the salt shaker (plastic) was too close to the stove, and when I tried to use it, the top came off and dumped salt on the meat. I got off what I could, but it was still pretty terrible, lol, make that VERY terrible. I apologized all over the place for it, but my husband said it tasted fine, and even tried to smile at the same time.

On TWD, the woman Tobin's in love with gives him a cookie she baked herself out of things she had to walk the woods to find and he's not even going to taste it? Somehow that didn't seem too realistic to me -either that or good luck feeding that guy.

No, I really had no thoughts about how she might use it. I just thought maybe they'd make some indication it was poison and then she'd tuck it away somewhere and it would later play into the episode somehow.
