    The best thing Mazzara did for the show that some people don't know, is save Hershel at the end of season 2. He was the one that wanted to spare him when he was supposed to die.

    He convinced darabont to leave Daryl alive in season 1 too I believe. He also wrote from season 1 on.

    Great episode.

    For a moment at least, all is well in the prison. Hershel has stepped up, and has found his nich. I am assuming that because he is a veterinarian, he has been exposed to so many germs that he is immune to this one, so far.
