Gears Of War Ultimate Edition Gets A Surprise Launch On PC
Last June during Microsoft’s presentation at E3 2015, a remastered remake of Gears of War was announced without a solid release date. It came out for XBox One last fall, but no one’s heard anything about the PC version since then….until today, when the game just suddenly came OUT.
If you have a powerful rig, you can play Gears of War at 4K resolution and 60 frames a second. Here’s what you’ll need to make the game run at its maximum quality:
- Minimum: OS 64 bit Windows 10 (v. 1511), Processor: Intel Core i5 @ 2.7Ghz / AMD FX 6-core, Memory: 8 GB RAM (2 GB VRAM), GPU: AMD R7 260x / NVIDIA GTX 650 Ti, HD Space: 60GB, DirectX12
- Recommended: OS 64 bit Windows 10 (v. 1511), Processor: Intel Core i5 @3.5GHz+ / AMD FX 6-core, Memory: 8 GB RAM (4 GB VRAM), GPU: AMD R9 290X / NVIDIA GTX 970, HD Space: 60GB, DirectX12

Yes, Windows 10 is one of the requirements….welcome to a harsh new world. Microsoft says on the medium setting, Gears of War Ultimate Edition should appear pretty much as it does on XBox One.
