Halo Online Coming To PCs….If They're Russian
Well, surprise surprise….Microsoft is developing a PC multiplayer Halo game called Halo Online. However, current plans do not involve it coming out anywhere but in Russia. It’s currently in beta test mode, and the local press over there was invited to try the game out and take pictures.
The developing party, Saber Interactive, shared these details: “Halo Online is set on a secret UNSC space installation called Anvil, where Spartan-IV soldiers train together in war exercises to sharpen their battle skills and test experimental technology.” There will be no campaign mode, just multiplayer. It uses a modified Halo 3 engine to run on low-end PCs (meaning the graphics will be far from fancy). AND……the words “free-to-play” were used, so….you might not want to play this game after all.
As for why, exactly, this thing is being tested in Russia and nowhere else, the team provided no answers, so we’ll just have to guess on that one. Ukraine training exercises?
Halo Online has no scheduled release date.
