An HD Remake For Halo ODST
If Halo: The Master Chief Collection didn’t feel complete to you, that’s because it wasn’t: the add-ons and separate campaigns were missing. Now Microsoft is slowly adding them on. Halo 3: ODST has been recreated in HD, just like its bigger brother, and will be added to the full game next month.
Developer 343 Industries announced ODST’s imminent arrival today, along with the Relic multiplayer map from Halo 2. “We’re excited about the progress of the Relic multiplayer map remake and the Campaign for Halo 3: ODST, both of which are on track to release within Halo: The Master Chief Collection next month with our next content update. Look for more details next month, including the final map name for the Relic remake, release date, and more.”
If you booted up Halo: The Master Chief Collection at any time from its launch date to December 19, you will be getting these two additions for free, as an apology of sorts. You may remember (though you’ve tried to forget) that Master Chief Collection suffered horrendous bugs upon launch, its biggest issue being terrible matchmaking issues.
Master Chief Collection has also been patched as of yesterday to resolve several glitches and bugs. Read the list in full here.
