Mobile Free-to-Play Strategy Game Call of Duty: Heroes Out Now
If you’d like a little Call of Duty flavor in your Clash of Clans-style strategy games, you’re in luck. Call of Duty: Heroes, a new free-to-play game from Activision Publishing, is out now on iOS and Windows 8 devices. It’s coming Android soon as well.
The game lets you use build up a base, then take on other bases, directly controlling familiar Call of Duty characters such as Captain Price, “Soap” McTavish and Mike Harper.
If you’ve never dove into a mobile game of this type before, be aware that although the game is technically free, it does offer microtransactions to make things easier and move things along faster. The game offers an in-game resource called Celerium that can be bought with real money in packs costing up to $99.
Here is a list of game features from the app description:
• Take control of and level up iconic heroes from the Call of Duty franchise, including Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: Black Ops II, and more. Each hero has their own progression system and unique Killstreaks.
• Train and specialize your army using units directly from Call of Duty, such as Juggernauts, Dragonfires, and CLAWs.
• Unleash Killstreaks such as the drone strike, UAV, care package, and chopper gunner to devastate opponents.
• Build and upgrade your base into a fortress with sentry guns, Guardians, SAM turrets, howitzers, mines, and over 30 other upgradable structures.
• Defend your base against attackers and go on the offensive in three unique modes: PvP, Campaign, and Survival
• Team up with your friends to form alliances, donate troops, and dominate your enemies.
