Next Far Cry Game Will Be Revealed During Game Awards
Geoff Keighley, organizer of the 2015 Game Awards, promised on his Twitter account there would be “10 world premieres” during the show, referring to game announcements, trailer debuts, and the like. He remained silent as to what they would be. That, however, can’t prevent game companies from spilling the beans early, like Ubisoft here.
Ubisoft has announced they will be showing the first footage from their upcoming Far Cry game, Far Cry Primal, at the awards ceremony next week. Setting-wise this game is going to be rather different from the others or from any other first-person game — it takes place in the year 10,000 BC. You play as Takkar, a primitive hunter who must take down wooly mammoths and confront sabertooth tigers to survive. Anyway, we’ll see moving pictures of it for the first time at the awards.
Far Cry Primal is set to come out sometime in 2016. The 2015 Game Awards airs Thursday, December 6, on Spike.
