Quantum Break Delayed To 2016
Many years ago Remedy Entertainment, the studio behind Alan Wake, announced their first next-gen XBox One shooter: Quantum Break. The XBox One has now been out for over a year and there’s still no sign of that game. It’s definitely still in production, but it’s taking much longer than they thought. The new release window is now 2016.
Sam Lake, Remedy’s creative director, assured the gamer public the delay was for the best. “We thank our fans for their patience, and want them to know that the team is taking advantage of this opportunity to polish and fine tune the game to create the kind of standout entertainment experience they’ve come to expect from us.” Officials at Microsoft also said something about having “so many good games for 2015 that there couldn’t possibly be room for Quantum Break,” but we all know they would put one more game on the shelf if they could.
In other news, for some reason Microsoft still hasn’t shut down production of the Quantum Break TV series, despite shutting down plans to build a streaming network of programs on XBox, and having no idea how Quantum Break will be received by the public. They should ask Dreamworks how having a premade stockpile of cartoons based on the movie “Turbo” worked out for them. Just saying.
