Rockstar Editor Comes To Consoles In Next GTA V Update
Check it out: Rockstar Games announced today it plans to bring the GTA V video creator, Rockstar Editor, to Playstation 4 and XBox One with the next update.
Previously a PC-exclusive feature, Rockstar Editor allows anyone to direct their own GTA V cinemas with the utmost customizability. Where recording, editing, and sharing game footage previously required some kind of third-party device to record the console output, Rockstar Editor lets you capture gameplay video, upload it to your own social media channels, and even edit it thoroughly with filters, camera modes, depth-of-field adjustments and audio tweaks.
It gets better. With the Director Mode, you can make machinima by selecting from a wide variety of characters, props and objects within the game and manipulating them at your whims. With that kind of power, you can do anything you want no matter how silly, as the rash of 90’s sitcom openings starring GTA characters has recently proven.
As for when this update to the console GTA V will be made available, that wasn’t revealed, but presumably it will be soon.
