Robert Kirkman’s Outcast Gets Premiere Date
It’s no surprise other networks want Robert Kirkman, after he produced AMC’s most successful series (currently airing new episodes, that is). Cinemax is about to adapt his other comic series, Outcast, into a TV series — and today we know when the first episode will air.
Look for Outcast to begin on June 3. It’s about Kyle Barnes, a young man who suffers from demonic possession and heads out on a journey to find the cure. He’s soon joined by a reverend with demon problems of his own.
Outcast only started in 2014 and doesn’t have the rich library to fall back on that The Walking Dead does. Only seventeen issues exist to date, which means if the show is a success, it may hit the Game of Thrones problem and start having to make up its own material. Two seasons, each 10 episodes long, are already guaranteed.
Outcast begins airing this summer on Cinemax. Here, have a trailer….
